As
of November 18th 2009, NTS launched the Offshore Compliance Enforcement Center
(OCEC)
under direct control of the Deputy Commissioner. The OCEC will lead the van preventing cross-border
tax evasion in international trades. Tasks
it undertakes are as follows;
-Placement
and management of intelligence gathering agents (in both domestic and foreign
jurisdictions)

Search and analysis of registers of real estate and corporates, financial
database of domestic and international corporates, publically announced information,
etc.

Analysis and investigation of suspicious offshore property

Expansion of cooperative international network for information and intelligence
exchange

Detection of aggressive tax planning schemes

Construction of international mutual-assistance network
